during Christmas we celebrated the birth of our saviour and our lord. We would like to share the latest news of YMCA Saxony and want to wish you a good new year. Best wishes from Michael, Christoph and the AK International team!

YMCA Annual Meeting

• The annual general meeting took place on 9.11.2019

We expressed our gratitude to Horst Windisch an Dr. Hans-Reinhard Berger who shaped the organization for decades and were presented  with the honorary membership.

25 years midnight Volleyball tournament

• On 06.12 until 07.12 300 people participated in the midnight Volleyball tournament in the “Energie-VerbundArena”.

35 teams in a hobby and a professional tournament competed against each other. At 05.45 in the morning the team “Freilos” were crowned champions of the professional tournament and the team “Schlechtschmetterfront” in the hobby tournament.

Geniessbar movie night in YMCA Dresden

• Movie night was one of the last topics of Geniessbar (a meeting place for all interested people in Dresden – Striesen) of the year 2019
• The movie “Cool runnings” was chosen by the 9 attendees.
• The latest meetings were focused to bring everyone out of their comfort zones and express the feelings, thoughts and fears to each other

The program becomes lively because of the ever changing themes and topics.

Prayer request

• God, we thank you for your son and our lord Jesus Christ. We ask for your help to bring your message that you brought to us by him in all parts of the world and make this a peaceful world
• We ask for the new year, to strengthen all members of voluntary organizations to stand up to all challenges and tasks

We ask you to be a light to all victims of the attack in Halle a.d. Saale and to give them hope in these dark moments and help for all people who are attacked because of their beliefs.
